About PraiseWorks

What is PraiseWorks?

PraiseWorks is a week-long worship arts camp on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. The camp is designed for students who have completed grades 7-12. Campers have an incredible opportunity to gather in worship daily, be equipped in various worship leading skills through tracks led by experts in their field, and given the opportunity to implement their skills in a worship celebration.

PraiseWorks has proven to be one of the most innovative student worship events, equipping future worship leaders with hands-on knowledge and giving them a place to discover and develop their God-given abilities. In the past years, this event has given students the opportunity to connect with friends, strengthen their biblical understanding of worship, and be equipped and sent to lead worship in their local churches.

PraiseWorks is offered as a ministry of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.

MUSIC & SONG

PraiseWorks offers a variety of opportunities for students to worship and develop their talents and skills through orchestra and choir. Our orchestra is made up of a wide variety of instruments, allowing all students with orchestra or band experience to participate.

CREATIVE ARTS

Worship, offered through drama, interpretive movement, photography, technical skills, and many other areas is a focus for PraiseWorks! We desire to equip students in these non-musical areas so they can use their talents and abilities to serve God as they lead in their local church setting.

DISCIPLE MAKING

We desire to see students come to Christ through salvation, grow in their walk with Christ and their understanding of biblical worship, and be equipped for the work of the ministry within their local churches. Investing in the lives of the next generation of worshippers and worship leaders is our passion.
